Mental Keys For Healthy Living

Do you see this guy right here? His name is “Life”. His main job is to constantly throw you curve balls. He does his job quite well, I might say. Often times, he catches people off guard and strikes them out.

But not you! Do you know why? Because you read my blogs *hear the crowd cheer you for your home run!*  But seriously. As a patient, you have to always be ready for life. Staring directly at the curve ball, you watch where it’s going, connect and drive it right out of the park.

So, what are the essential tools needed?

  1. Concentration. Where is your focus going? Does it go to all the negative “woe-is-me” thoughts? Or are you focusing on connecting yourself to your passions and reasons? All of my clients understand what I mean by that. It’s essential to living a healthy life!
  2. Teammates. What people do you have surrounding you in your time of need? Are they an energy pumper or energy drainer? Loose the drainers, and keep the pumpers. Also, during your sickness, you can not afford to seclude yourself and draw away from support. Sure it may be what you want to do, but believe me when I tell you it’s not best. Being alone will quickly draw you into depression, and slowly kill you. Your reason for living is FAR more greater than intentional suicide.
  3. Will to Win. No one ever goes into life expecting and wanting to lose. As a patient, that standard doesn’t change. There are going to be some tough times ahead, but keep your winning attitude. Your will to win will light fires in others around you. And even those who have “lost the battle” truly didn’t lose the war. Their spirits are alive a well and because of them, great things in people’s lives have happened. And that all came from a will to win!

So take these tools. Use them in your fight. You ARE a champ. You CAN be compliant. You WILL live!
