Coaching in it’s simplest form, is a process to help a Coachee reach goals when the Coachee has a goal in mind, but has no idea of how to get there. Coaches help them become aware of their current situation, cast a vision for themselves, help them set realistic goals and devise a strategy in getting there. We also help them uncover any obstacles that stand in their way and discover ways of overcoming them. In our program, there are three levels of coaching to choose from.

Level 1: This is the most basic, but effective level of coaching in our programs.

Many of our clients who are not interested in, or prefer not  having the faith and Christian point of view added to their coaching prefer this level. Here are the basics about this style of coaching:

-It is not counseling or therapy. It is less threatening, less about problem solving and more about helping you reach your potential.

-It helps you build vision and move toward the future.

-It is not about looking back or healing; it is about looking ahead and moving forward.

-It helps you grow through life transitions and major changes.

-It helps you explore possibilities, assess where you are, set a vision, make a plan and overcome obstacles that are in the way.

Level 2: This builds on level one and adds this component:

This level is for the client who would like to explore and be open to understanding for themselves how faith and God integrates in their healthcare.  Here are the basics for this style of coaching:

Christian Coaching is the practice of working with you in the process of moving from where you currently are to where you believe God wants you to be.  Sometimes, coaching from other point of views can puts all the pressure on you to “make things happen”, and “own your failure” – which can often lead to giving up, and feeling like a failure.  Through coaching with a Christ centered emphasis, you can come to know and understand that there is someone greater (God) at work in your  life, that there are things you can not control, and that the onus for failure can be left at the feet of Him and not have to be a burden. You then can leave the pressure behind and focus on true transformation – accepting that you will make mistakes, but you don’t have to stay stuck in guilt or shame.

Level 3: This level builds on both levels one and two with this added component:

This level is for our clients who understand much of the connection between faith, God, and their health. But they want to dig a little deeper for their transformation.

Using the “Faith and Health” Coaching model goes one step further. It helps you to understand how your environment, heredity, knowledge, and relationships(with God, people and yourself) help shape your beliefs, attitudes, values, and habits. That information helps you understand how that filters your reactions, choice-making, and what keeps you from transitioning or complying in your health care (strongholds/bad habits). We then have the option of adding faith/belief in God, and scripture to your plan of change. This will help change reactions and choices to help you develop a plan on how to live a more fruitful and healthy life.
